The Beautifully Privileged

My friend and I had exited a shoe store and were walking toward my car. There was a car approaching the walkway as we were about to cross. The driver allowed us to cross, then proceeded to yell out of his rolled-down window, "If y'all was ugly, y'all woulda had ta wait!" Thank you? Not quite a back-handed compliment, but it was a weird compliment, nonetheless.
